Take Geoff Stevens and his poem The Bit player And The Actor; for example, “She has one man/That she doesn’t like much/He comes over in his lunch hour/Just for sex/And that’s all he’s for”.  As David Daiches says in his book The Present Age, “A few swear words do not make a new poetic style,” but unfortunately most poets who write about sex think four letter words are not only raunchy but enough.
