WARBLERS

WARBLERS
Afloat in the first magnitude
Rain pooled by slanted drizzle
Hovering above their own reflections
Singing and grieving crested angels
Spherical melodies never before heard
Glorious cascading notes from afar
Euphonic fluted descant airs as
Foreign tongues deliquesce attuned ears
Water color clouds blur in
Daylight drawn with infinite clarity
Feathery winged migrants flocking to
This etched intaglio gravure outland
Threads from slender magic wands
Pointed flames stained by saffron
Dusk ablaze like stoked furnace
Fed by stardust ashen remains
Flickering refrain fallen into its
Own echo heard only by
Likeminded others of same ilk
Exaltation of soaring yellowish plumage
