Flattering fragile but superhuman ego

            Soothing coagulated bruises black-and-white cover-up

                        In-different borderline neurotic faking passion

                                    Blissfully oblivious to painful pleasure

 

Secondhand moments all too brief

            Pricelessly spent wondering what if

                        Leftover past already caught up

                                    Always progressing onward never retreating

 

No turning back vigorous strides

            Stowaway love precariously on hold

                        Stranded wanton desire craving lust

                                    Relentless longing riddled with angst

 

Attitude to spare saving grace

            Flexed delusions of grandeur unbent

                        Inner voices speaking in tongues

                                    Telekinetic powers going both ways

 

Indulging in quirky nightmarish visions

            Where does sound reason end

                        And disorderly madness take over

                                    Bizarre unconventional wisdom oddly far-fetched

 

Unrestrained fantasy or sheer insanity

            Wavy curves separate wildcat imagination

                        From eclectic sensibilities surreal hallucinations

                                    Wired whimsy tense outlandish weirdness

 

Probing ever more deeply unexposed

            Recesses mindful confusion running havoc

                        Breathless edgy balance fruit-basket upset

                                    Warped counterclockwise timelessness slightly off-kilter
