One Thing Into Another & Out Again

August 29th, 2008 by bill vartnaw · No Comments

Category: Poem of the Day

the cat

on hind paws

claws (ouch!) in my sitting leg

it’s the vernacular, lap—

like it or no?

today’s black coffee is half & half

different than parents’ day

cream to me:

jack & ginger at the fillmore

eric’s guitar had more buzz

than this coffee

the cat

jumps down

intent on her next crossroads
