Emily’s Drawers

Emily D wrote notes to herself
and put them in a drawer,
a box with no locks.
No TV those days
and radio must have been
a bummer in the summer
of conventional thinking.
And so she progressed
and dressed each day,
either way the wind declaring
it to be a good day.
