Colors Uncloaked

August 22nd, 2008 by alli elizabeth skeehan · No Comments

Category: Poem of the Day

Dream vividly,

drinking down colors uncloaked,

unfit for the idle consumption

of the minimalist mortal mind…

Send for me

when you have traversed

the pewter landscape of your

linear world, only to find

lumps  bumps

and forests of lush green

in your flat paned existentialism.

Find the nexus

where we fuse,

folding and meeting

open mouthed, tasting.

Bring me

your wordless song….

Play this shell game

with, and against me;

til we are stripped bare,

warm and shiny

shifting stone…

ever changing by

an immortal breath,

staggered sighs

and gorgeous bridges.
