Time Opens

Category: Poem of the Day

time opens

the gates of the moon

a lush world

voice-forms

you can see through

change shape

with intention

& convey meaning

in this way

rather than sound

these voices

            their (identity?)

(a) spring

            neither began or ended

up from the surface

            for they blended

immediately

            & divided

independent

            at will

& capable of great mobility

            & disappeared

the sound itself

            completely—

much like gravity

            probably within

seems

            another time

only to be

            (reality)

a stabilizing factor

            & without

            a moment’s notice

clear-toned

rapid as molecules

& yet sustained

to emphasize

a specific gyration

sometimes appearing

to fold into itself

like at laser shows
