Blue

January 23rd, 2008 | Category: Welcome To My Garden

What kind of a color
is blue for a berry?

Maybe they’re blue
because it’s cold.

Or maybe they’re blue
because they know

that even though they
take their sweet time

from flower to fruit
they won’t last long

cuz a blue blueberry
tastes so good to so many

people and creatures of
the skies and backyards.

Sage

January 16th, 2008 | Category: Welcome To My Garden

Sage

A wise man
resides
in deserts
and meadows
nestled among
hardy plants
imparting
wisdom
healing
cleansing
rebuilding
as one,

gaining
in strength
in stringent
conditions.
