Been on a poetic vacation
With an ironic twist
This AT&T clam Left AT&T in June
With a funny little dancing tune
And hoards and hoards of pearls too!.
Now those of you who were at
Listen and Be Heard
That fateful night on June 9th
When I gave my AT&T "blaaaatt"
Know how pearls are made.
For those who missed
I will reminisce
A portion of my ranting oration
Called "Bag of Pearls"
An AT&T proclamation.
"Pearls are created when a foreign particle
Slips into the shell and becomes an irritant
It then secretes a smooth hard
Crystalline substance around the irritant,
In an effort to ease this irritant.
And that is how a pearl is made."
And that is all I am going to reminisce
About THAT bog of pearls.
After that night I searched high
I searched low for another job
I studied for it very hard
Got the interview down
Interviewed in San Francisco town!
Interviewed here!
Interviewed there!
Now Here!
Not There!
Got a job offer I couldn't refuse!
I A-C-C-E-P-T-E-D!!!
Then I smiled
I took a deep breath
And I started to defuse!
Bet you can't guess
What I did next!
I took those AT&T pearls
And yes I did!
I hurled those pearls
Into San Francisco Bay.
I kept only the best.
Which didn't include
Those blank-ity-blank pearls
And I hurled and hurled those pearls
Into San Francisco Bay!
So There!
AT&T beat that!
Jo Ann got in the last word!
